Orville and Wilbur, American-born wright brothers are credited with inventing the world’s first successful airplane on December 17, 1903 where they successfully demonstrated self-controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight. Two years later, they invented a fixed-wing aircraft with mechanical controls that made it possible to control the movement of airplane in all directions.
Shivkar Talpade-The first human to build modern airplanes
This historical fact may be known to you but what you may not know is that eight years ago in 1895, before the first flight of wright brothers, Shivkar Bapuji Talpade and his wife gave a thrilling flight demonstration to mumbaikars at Chowpatty beach in Mumbai.

As shown in the video and pic above, a 5000 year old Vimana, was recently discovered in a cave in Afghanistan, stuck in a “Time Well” that caused the disappearance of at least 8 American Soldiers who were trying the extract it from the cave.

Short biography of Shivkar Talpade
Shivkar Bapuji Talpade was born in 1864 in the locality of Chirabazar at Dukkarwadi in Bombay. He was the first scientist of this kaliyuga to design and fly an airplane that can move in all directions.

Since his childhood, he had the dream of achieving something extraordinary.

Mr. Talpade, a Mumbaikar and member of arya samaj, was an erudite scholar of Sanskrit literature, an inventor and a teacher in the School of Arts. He thoroughly learned many ancient scriptures to explore the possibility of constructing a flying airplane. Before constructing an airplane, he exhibited his research works in an exhibition arranged by the Bombay Art Society in the Town Hall. After this exhibition, Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad of Baroda, a great supporter of Vedic sciences, offered to support his research on aircraft construction with mercury engines.

Shivkur talpade
Encouraged by the applause he got from the audiences, he dwelled deeper into Vedas to create a flying plane fueled by mercurial pressure.

Marut Sakha- the first plane of kaliyuga
Based on the study of numerous ancient books, he designed a plane combining the features of “Pushpaka Vimana”and “Marut Sakha”, the sixth and eighth types of aircrafts described by Bharadwaja in vymanika shastra. He himself named his plane as “Marut Sakha” meaning “Friend of the Wind”.
Former defense minister in 2004 stated that due to technical reasons, Marut sakhâ failed to operate to its full design limits.

Well-wishers and guiders of talpade
Talpade was lucky enough to meet Shri SuparaayaSasthri, who gifted him bundles of ancient treasures that contained suthras (formulas) of constructing an aircraft.
This bundle of ancient texts was gifted to Subbaraya Shastriji by his guru ‘Bhaskaranandji’. Despite of pressure from professor “Suryanarian Rao”, Subbaraya Shastriji kept most of his research works secret as his guru has not given him the permission to make his work public under the British administration. One of the text described eight types of Vimanas as listed below

SR NO Name Of Type Fuel used Names of sub Type Vimanas
1 ShakatyudgamaVargam Electrical energy Shakti, Garbho, VegayutMandali, Panchapa, Iravata
2 BhutaVargam Panchamahabutas Five Major Elements, Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Ether(Sky)
3 DhoomVargam Propelled by steam or smoke Viswasa, Paribhadra, Garuda AjaMukha, darija

8 Marut Sakha Details given above Kurma, Varaha, Matsya, Narasihma, Marudvridha

Under the guidance of Pandit Subbarâya  Shâstry, Talpade became the sanskrit scholar of ancient texts. He studied numerous Vedic treatises on airplanes like Vimanachandrika of Acharya Narayan Muni,Viman Bindu of Muni Acharya Vachaspati,Viman yantra of Maharishi Shownik, Yantra Kalp of Maharishi Garg,  Brihad Vaimanika Shastra of Maharishi Bharadwaja , Vimana Gyanarka Prakashika of Maharishi Dhundiraj’ and Samara Sutradhara of bhoja deva.
His tech-savvy wife who was also a Vedic lore and architect friend assisted him in his daily affairs of inventing an airplane. She was his partner on the day when he flew his first flight at Chowpatty beach.

Evidences of talpade’s first airplane flight
His first flight at Chowpatty beach was witnessed by thousands of mumbaikars including the ruling Britishers in 1895, 8 years before the well-documented invention of airplanes by Wright brothers. As witnessed by audiences, his flight lasted in air above 1500 feet (450 meters) for 20 odd minutes and landed safely before running out of fuel. Below are some of the noted evidences
  1)    Among the audience were Eminent Indian judge “Mahadeva Govinda Ranade” and King of Baroda “Sayaji Rao Gaekwad”. Impressed by talpade feat, he was rewarded by Maharaja of Baroda and Justice Govind Ranade.
2)    Bal Gangadhara Tilak, renowned freedom fighter and editor of Kesari, Pune published an editorial on talpade feat in his Marathi daily newspaper. Same was also reported by two English newspapers which were later taken down under the pressure of British administration.
3)    One of Talpade's students, P. Satwelkar, wrote extensively on his airplane flight that lasted for few minutes.
4)    Roshan talpade, niece of shivkur talpade, shared his experiences of sitting in the aircraft model and imagining the flying experiences.
5)    HAL(Hindustan aeronautics limited) has preserved document related to the experiments on Marutsakhâ.

British administration suppressed talpade achievements
Story of talpade and his achievement was well recorded by eminent Indians though most of them were later destroyed by imperial rulers. As Indians were supposed to be nothing good than servants, Jolted white rulers blanked out this news from the media and threatened talpade of dire consequences in a shabbily manner.
Maharaja of Baroda was warned by the British Government to stop financing talpade. Most of the Indians kept quiet to these atrocities as they were fooled of being ruled by a superior Aryan race from Europe.

Shivkar Talpade-The first human to build modern airplanes
Use of mercury as airplane fuel
Till the 18th century, mercury was unknown to modern world but the same along with its uses was known to Vedic Indians 11000 years ago. Ancient Treatise “Dharnidhar Samhita” has 16 detailed steps on the creation of Shiv lingam after the purification of mercury. Bharatvarsha(India) in those times extended from present Iran in west Asia to Cambodia of south east India. India was abundant with mercury with many sites located at present Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. Radioactive mercury is still found in caves of Afghanistan. In caves of Gobi Desert and Turkestan which was the part of Vedic India, Soviet scientists discovered age-old mercury based devices used in navigating cosmic vehicles. Made of glass or porcelain, these hemispherical cone-shaped devices had a drop of mercury inside to track cosmic vehicles. This also proves that Vedic Indians were not only the first to invent an airplane but also the first to manufacture and use.

Though mercury based engines have been in use in India since ancient times, white man credited “Robert Goddard” for theory of mercury based ion engine in 1906. Robert Goddard is now wrongly known as father of Liquid-fuel Rocketry. Most of the humans are unware of the fact that long before Robert Goddard flew his first modern rocket, ion engine has been conceived thousands of years ago by Indian sages.

Based on their learning from Vymanika shastra, Bill Clendenon and David Hatcher, author of “UFO-messengers of god”, proposed a mercury vortex propulsion system
that were used by ancient vimanas. They also pointed out the dangers of using mercury vortex propulsion system as hot liquid mercury is highly radioactive and deadly poisonous and the crew managing the vehicle would be always at risk of dangerous accidents

How Marut sakha worked?
One of the scientific thesis behind the flying of talpade’s aircraft was its timing. This aircraft was attempted to fly at a time when the sun rays (solar energy) on earth is the most effective to activate the mercury ions of the aircraft engine.
Eventually, he was able to create a flying plane by heating the pressurized mercury using sun rays and another chemical named “Naksharassa”. His airplane was fuelled by advanced mercury-based ion propulsion engines. Energy produced by the spinning and heating of pressurized Mercury was used by talpade to fly an airplane.
Mercury was first heated by sun rays to vaporize. This was fed to the discharge chamber where the electrons were broken down electrically into plasma which was then accelerated through small tube openings to an engine at extremely great velocities of 1200 to 3000 kilometers/min. Mercury was kept at 8 different temperatures in pressure resistant specially-made glass containers. Around eight vertical cylinders/batteries were used to store the energy produced by pressurized mercury.

Was Talpade Works smuggled to Hitler?
Hitler was very fascinated with Vedic texts as he believed himself to be the descendants of the great Aryan race. Impressed by the Vedas, he tilted swastika symbol to create the symbol of his political party. He hired researchers and Sanskrit scholars, either by hook and crook, to translate Vedic texts into German.

Mercury based german airplanes
Hitler was very impressed with the news of Vedic airplanes based on mercury engines. On April 1944, German submarine, carrying 67 researchers and 33 tons of mercury sealed in bottles, left on a mysterious mission to research Centre in Antarctica. However, on the midway, his submarine was attacked by British submarine in which most of the crew members on board died. One of the survivors later revealed the secret of German airbase in Antarctica where a huge airplane factory was situated. Rudolf Hess, right hand of Hitler and the superintendent of this factory was tortured till death as he refused to share the secrets of Hitler UFO program.

German news on UFO’s and prototype based on saucer shaped Vimanas(Right)

Flying saucer shaped airplanes produced by Germany is believed of being destroyed by USA and allies during World War 1. This same technology of mercury based ion engines is now used by NASA.

Mercury based engines developed by NASA
Do you think that the stories, myths, and claims of the ancient Sanskrit chronicles are nothing more than children's fairy tales? After nearly thousand years of technical development, the two most advanced nations in the modern world combined their efforts to develop a Vertical-Take-Off/Landing vehicle using the so-called "thrust vectoring" technique, similar to that utilized thousands of years ago in India.
Ernst Stuhlinger, a German-born NASA scientist, borrowed his theories from Vedic texts to create the first modern mercury ion engines. This technology of ion propulsion systems was successfully used by NASA in July 20, 1964(launch of SERT 1) and February 3, 1970(launch of SERT-II)
According to the bi-monthly Ancient Skies published in USA, NASA is also working on mercury based aircraft engines bombarded by Solar cells

Sad and unrecognized Death
Soon after his wife and partner died under mysterious conditions, Talpade went into a shock mode and died of deep depression in 1917 at the age of 53. Shocked by his wife death, talpade wasn’t able to continue his research but his efforts of building an airplane using Vedic Shastras was well recognized by indian scholars who bestowed him with the title “Vidya Prakash Pra-deep”
After the death of talpade, British Rulers came to his residence and made an irresistible offer to relatives of talpade. Remains of Marutsakthi, manuscripts, airplanes models and all his research papers were sold off by his relatives to Rally Brothers, a leading British exporting firm with operations in Mumbai, to pay off the huge loan taken by him from different parties.

Moreover, British rulers realized the worth of Vedic texts and intensified search operation of Vedic texts all over India, most of which was smuggled out of India to Germany.
Shivkar Talpade-The first human to build modern airplanes
A London Times article discussing the issue

Unsuccessful attempt to honor Talpade
There have been many unsuccessful attempts to honor talpade. Historian Evan Koshtka, claimed Talpade as the ‘first creator of an aircraft’. Captain Anand J Bodas, the controversial retired principal of a pilot training institute, distributed pamphlets that credited talpade as the first man of modern era to fly an airplane.
Achievement of shivkar bapuji talpade was very badly represented in the recently released bollywood movie “HawaaiZaade”

Summary
Very sadly, Shivkur talpade died unhonoured in his own country. Like the world rightly honors Wright Brothers for their achievement of flying a manned airplane, every Indian should honor Talpade for his incomparable feat of constructing an airplane using the ancient Sanskrit texts, eight years before his foreign counterparts. Sharing this article would be one way of honoring Shivkur talpade.
