This is a gujarati folk song on shabari, an ardent devotee of lord ram. Shabari who is eagerly waiting for arrival of lord ram at her hut, starts dancing and singing to express her joy and happiness on seeing lord ram. She was so much devoted that she would taste the berries before offering it to lord ram. This ensured that lord ram ate only sweet berries but this act of her was wrong as the food shouldn’t be tasted before offering it to any deity. However, the wise lord saw devotion in her eyes and blessed her for good acts.
